My gf is looking into upgrading her 10gallon to a 150 gallon marineland reef ready cube. We are in the researching phase and i had a question regarding lighting. She keeps mostly softies rite now and it will prolly stay that way with maybe an itch for an anenome, clam, or easier to keep hard coral down the road. I want to get the 36" 8 bulb individual reflector icecap retrofit kit for the canopy. Im thinking this will be enuf?

If your asking about the 150g, I would go with MH's. Luna

If yer gonna upgrade why upgrade to dinky tank after dinky tank...lol. I cant find em online, if it wasnt for my lfs i wouldnt even know they exsisted. They even have starfire glass in the front. I dont wanna do metal halide because the electricity bill it will create and plus the tank package has a canopy that isnt high enuf for mh retrofit kit. I thought of a 400 watt in the center with 4 24" t5s surrounding it but i think it will just drain to much power. I dont wanna have to be adding outlets to her house to make it safe..less fuss and more plug and play the better.
