    Frsh2Salt - Greta progress so far! Do you have water in there yet? What do you think of those powerheads I've got 2 of the same ones & I think with the return pump added to the flow, it should be plenty for my 29g sps. What corals will you be keeping?

    Nice rock BTW.

    I don't have water in it yet I'm " taking it easy" reading alot on here trying to get everything ordered that i need .... I did get my pump in today but haven't plumbed it in yet.. I want to make sure the overflow works before i get some RO water from the fish store... Then i will put my baffles in my sump and fill it up with water... and pray for the best:cheesy:

    So tonight i fill it with tap water just to do a practice run and the overflow seem to be working.... BUT IT IS SO LOUD:eek: !!!!! Oh and it surges flow fast then slow then it will catch up... I'm going to have to quite this down before i can continue.... Does anyone have any suggestions on how to quite a diy overflow????

    Take apart the two street elbows. add the one inside the tank, back. where the 90 is, outside the tank, make it a T & cap it off. drill a hole in the cap & insert air line tubing.

    so i got my kit from glass-holes.com today, and let me just tell you I was so nervous about drilling these holes, But everything came out great ..... the glass hole saws worked perfectly...

    I ordered the
    Super Nano con Dientes Overflow Kit and a return ...

    I will try and plumb it all into tomorrow and see if everything works like its supposed to
