    Just a little intro - I dont own/have a tank of my own :p

I bought my girlfriend a 15g and a few fish about a year and a half ago. Our LFS (@#$&%) gave us..

    2 false perc. clowns
    1 dusky jaw
    1 royal gramma

and said they would be fine...my @$$. After terrorizing the gramma to death, the female clown set out after the jaw :-/ . After a year the jaw died, and 1.5years later she has her two clowns still kicking :).

She just bought a 55g from my boss's brother and we will be stocking it soon.

    Will have -
    4bulb T5
    10-25g Sump (haven't decided)
    Skimmer (also haven't decided)
    60-80#LR
    'fuge ....eventually

    1 - Dusky Jaw
    1 - Sandsifting goby (possibly Randall's)
    3 - Cleaner Shrimp
1 - Target Mandarin - after 6mo+ after pod population is up and the 'fuge is in

Does anybody else wish those stupid semicircle/koran & emperor angels stayed blue/white/black through adulthood ? And yes i know 55g is too small so dont flame me :tongue4:

    Hello, and welcome.
Don't worry, no flaming here. 55G should easily be big enough. I have a 46G and I think it's a great size. Any bigger and I'd need to upgrade my lights. ;D Have fun and keep us posted.

A 55 is to small for big angels. But if you're willing to part with them down the road then go for it. But as soon as you see that they are getting to big bring it back to the LFS for store credit, sell it or give it away... just dont keep it in a small thank please.

Oh and welcome to 3reef, the friendly forum ;) and good luck!

    Marc.

    Hello and welcome to 3reef!
Best of luck with your fish tank.
As for the Koran and Emperor Angels and their coloration change is concerned, I like both color pattern representations! You are right though as it would be nice if one of them would stay the same as an adult that it is as a juvenile regarding the nice color pattern. This can be said about other fish as well such as the Coris Wrasse!

hmm, somebody needs to get on that and start breeding angels + wrasses like Koi & leopard geckos (for their color morphs)

Welcome to 3Reef! I agree that the 55 should be plenty for most, but maybe stick with small angels :)
