Ahhhh my 3rd fish in 2 months is missing. It was one of my Chromis. I still think its my brittle star. But I also have some pretty big mushrooms and I know that they can eat fish. I have never seen the culprit in action. Just 1 fish at a time goes missing. Nothing on the floor, so no jumpers. I think my brittle might have to go. I have been target feeding him hoping it would stop. He is really cool, but cant have a fish killer in my tank.

His main body is about an inch, and his arms are like 6 to 7 inches long. He is quite big. The only problem is right now I have no where to take him. Might see if the store up in Truckee will take him even though that's quite the drive.

Bought it. He was pretty small when I got him. And I was not aware that all brittle's will snag fish and inverts if given the chance. I read it was only the green ones, which he is not. But live and learn.

Edit: Also I got it from Petco, so no taking it back to them. :(

I would put money on it that hes your culprit. I have heard of a lot of issues with those big brittle stars.

Oh and it's going to be a major PIA to get him. He hides under one of my big rocks on the bottom. So I'm going to have to tear most of my rock down to get him.
