Hi my name is Bryan, and I got into the hobby totally by mistake. My wife, then girlfriend bought me a 16gallon via-aqua with a red volitin for a bitrhday gift (this is why people say - never trust everything your LFS tells you) why he sold that combo I will never know, oh and the whole setup was uncycled (fish didnt last long). After many attempts to get this under control, I decided to do some reading, then things started to make sense. Its been about 7 years now and I have had many tanks, but have settled with a 10g and enjoy the ease of maintenance. I have had my share of ups and downs in this hobby as i am sure we all have but once you have the disease, you are hooked.

    THE SETUP:

    10g AGA
    aqua clear 20 for chaeto
    rio nano skimmer
    maxspect 60w led
2x rio 50 powerhead powered by jbj ocean pulse wave timer
    jbj auto top-off
    jebo 50w heater

    LIVESTOCK :

    tailspot blenny
    pom pom crab
    2x sexy shrimp
    McCosker's flasher wrasse (small)
    engineer goby (very small)
I know its way overstocked but I am very much on top of this tank

    frogspawn
    pulsing xenia
    gsp
    florida richordea
    green monti cap
    assort. zoas.
    green fuzzy shrooms
    green candy cane
    button polyps
    more assort. shrooms

Well with that said, I will break the news to everyone at once..... (except my wife, she is going to KILL me)

The 10g filled up way too fast so today I bought a 40 breeder, so now to convince her that "the 10g always looked like this"

There will be a build thread as soon as I have time to really start the build

    thanks for reading

welcome to 3reef a 40g breeder is the best sized of the small tanks for a reef in my opinion.

yeah, i've wanted this tank for a long time . just never could talk the wifey into it. Its easier to ask for forgivness than permission, right?

this build will take forever due to the fact that I travel all of the time for work, but I will manage. I just hope im not pounded for thread updates then have nothing to offer.
