3reef used to be

Ive been off the forum for a while now...3reef used to be a quaint family style easy to talk to group of people...now it seems like people automatically think ur stupid for posting what u KNOW, sad....it feels like i've been posting on a site thats more like Reef Central than 3reef... sad to see it go that way, its the exact reason i stay away from RC...now its as though its spread.

 

This is still a very family styled and friendly place. You're thread on GHA just seemed a little abrasive. I just read the whole thing and to be honest people tend to get frustrated when you seem to be asking for help and not willing to listen. That's to be expected. It's human nature after all. Don't let one thread put a sour taste in your mouth. Also you must take some accountability for that thread as well. Debate and confrontation is a two way street.

Just my two cents....

 

People are only trying to help. It seems you have tried everything and know everything, so why post a question in the first place? It sounds to me your mind is made up of tearing down the tank and really nothing will persuade you otherwise. Now you're unhappy when you don't get the response you want.

are you upset about your GHA post on the front thread?

I read it and every one seemed nice and told you their opinions.

i read the GHA thread and my first thought was that someone else had logged on to your sign on. i don't remember you being so dismissive of other people's opinions and suggestions. i didn't participate in the thread so from an outside view, you appeared to be the one that was not easy to talk to. i hope this is all just from frustration........or someone else has logged on as kevin3884.

 

I don't see how you think people are supposed to know what you know. We are not mind readers. How can it hurt if people are suggesting things you already know? You think we are trying to make you look stupid? From what I have read and experienced from you I think its you who has a problem not 3reef.Sorry just my honest opinion.

 

You made a post and then shot down with snide remarks and an attitude anyone who tried to help you. But yet you continued to post (including this post) and shoot down everyone who tried to help. At a certain point.. it's tough to keep reading without being rude to you. When your comment is "I'm experienced and know what I'm talking about" why come for help in the first place. Definitely shouldn't shoot down the people who give you advice on a site where you asked for advice.

I was rude to you. And that's not like me, but like was previously stated, it's human nature to snap at someone who is acting so blind and stubborn. That whole thread was a "feel bad for me" thread. This site is geared towards help, if you don't want help or don't need it because you already know the answer, don't post.
