a little update, I'm suppose to get my par38 bulb for my little frag tank today but usps did not show up :( its raining in san diego ATM so im assuming something mustve happened.

as for the main tank i added another mp10 on the left side and my corals are loving the flow! and as for the livestock i just added a pair of clowns today my chromis isnt being aggresive towards them yet.

the male Clown is so funny looking, one side has no stripe and the other side has half a stripe!

as you can see the small one has half a bar and this is the other side.

Check out my build thread "Alec's 40 breeder chronicles", I have a ton of pics in there. It's hard to prepare for growth really.. A lot of acro's seem to encrust quite a bit before they reallyy start branching.. Like the RP. Some grow more quickly than others as well. I've had a few pieces I've had to relocate because another sps next to it was beginning to shade it out. I ended up just having to add a bunch more rock than I would prefer, just to space things out a bit.

But like I said I'm still dealing with it lol.

Thanks for the replies guys, I really can't do much about the encrusting because they already encrusted on the rock, there's about 3-4inches between them to encrust so hopefully I don't have to move any corals..

As for the frag tank I got the par38 clamp and bulb settled up and found out they gave me the wrong one so I have to pay for shipping to ship it back to them and I'm going to get my refund back.

On another notice I purchased some zeo products, pohls xtra, AA, and coral virtualizer, as I read good reviews on these.

One of my main concerns are the sps, I wish they will not battle each other but only time will tell...

nice looking frags you got there. And nice little clam. Is that a crocea? you will be surprised how fast they can grow within a year.

I didnt even notice the black pencil sketch at first. Maybe make it red instead of black? As for rock, you need a long skinny piece for the pillar and a flat piece for the "shelf" i think you are looking for. This will give you alot of surface area close to the lights to place frags.

So i purchased one of these rocks from Ceram Eco the price was at 26 bucks, i bought the 2 day shipping which was more then the rock itself, everything came out to be 60 dollars. i believe this should be a nice add..

i just read the Faqs and it says just rinse and add to display, sounds like this is the way to go!
