I had 16 Sexy Shrimp in an 8g bio cube before. Was very cool. They eat softies. Not cool. Cany Canes, Lobo, etc. IME...

Fire Shrimp FTW. I'm looking for a small one for my Pico.

TOO COOL! I so want one myself now. Makes me really want to start building that cube out of the Starphire glass in the garage. If only I could cut it and polish the edges myself.

Go for it...most glass shops would cut glass for you and bevel the edges for a few $$.

The new BoostLED bulb came in yesterday, I like this color combo better (4xblue, 1xwhite). I'll get some pics up when I get home later today or tomorrow.

Yea, living in a rural area makes that a bit more difficult. I had a glass shop that cut the pane for my 225 but they could only smooth the sharp edge and not polish it. I am tempted to try to cut it myself but havent decided yet. it is 1/2" glass.

A few before and after shots. The 4xblue & 1xwhite combination BoostLED make the coral colors pop more. It's not as bright as the 3xblue & 2xwhite and it's a bit bluer as expected.

Here's pic with the 3xblue, 2xwhite LED combo:

From the pictures, I like the first setup.

Same here. I like the 3xblue 2x white combo. more natural in my opinion. I am not a fan of really blue and the 14K bulbs I got with my lights are almost too blue for me.

As I've mentioned on my other tank thread, I'm not a big fan of the bluer look, I like the pastel look, but it actually looks cool on this small tank. As you can see it's not as bright, so hopefully this doesn't affect growth too much. I have both bulbs so I'll experiment with them a bit.
