    Ah, the magical Boost LED.

I will be getting 2 for my 29g. How tall is that vase? Think 2 will be good(as far as no shadows acorss the water) or will I need 3? I will be going with the 60* optics.

The vase is 16" deep, I don't have a par meter but the light is crazy bright at the bottom of the vase. I'm guessing this will bleach my corals if I don't acclimate them. If your 29 has a center brace, you could probably get away with 2 with 60 degree optics depending on the corals you have or plan to keep.

Thanks, I'll be adding some corals this wknd.

Thanks, I just ordered another LED (4xblue, 1xwhite w/ 40 degree optics), I'll use the one in the pic on my fuge, but it's a bit too white for my mini reef.

This turned out to be a great build. Very nicely done, bud. I enjoyed the whole build.
We'll be waiting to see what you put in there. Congrats on a job well done!
+k also for sharing it with us.

Thanks. I have to do some fragging on my main tank this weekend. I was just looking for a mini project to test out some LEDs but it turned out great so far.

The 29g is 18" deep with no center brace. I wanted the light to span across the tank but didn't want it to be too bright at the bottom/overall. I plan to keep mixed, but mainly sps corals.

Nice build indeed. I may buy a boost led for my sump after seeing this.
