4 bulb or 6?

    hey i was looking at the tek 4 bulb and the 6 bulb. would i be able to keep sps corals happy with a 4 bulb? or shoud i get a 6? tank is a 40b

    With that size tank, I would go with the 4 bulb fixture, I don't think you should have problems keeping sps, just use good bulbs.

    wife has a 36 in long 30 gallon and keeps sps with 4 T5 bulbs and single reflectors, parabolic, parasmolic... tho they do help

    The only need for 6 bulbs is if you are going to cram the tank full of SPS from from to back. Buy a high quality fixture and use high quality bulbs and you won't be unhappy.

    I think 4 bulbs would be fine. Your tank isn't deep, which is one of the main reasons a person may need a lot of bulbs.
