    Thats awesome. Im an egineering major in mech and matsci. Hopefully this hobby sticks with me for a while haha. Its nice to having a relaxing hobby like this.

    I found it!!

    I FOUND THE ANSWER TO NUMBER THREE!! Here, go to this website and scroll down to "Barnacles" it's at the bottom. The one on the far left looks exactly the thing you have in the third picture!

    I gave you Karma for your research efforts but the behavior Yuri described doesn't match a barnacles behavior. They pop in and out of their shell every couple of seconds. His stay out all day and don't respond to touch.

    I'm assuming his look something more like this [​IMG]
