Im about to purchase my lights for my 40breeder
im for sure going t5 either tek or aquaticlife 4 bulb

the corals im instrested in keeping are

    Candy Cane Coral (Caulastrea furcata)

    and

    Brain Coral, Trachyphyllia (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi)

    and

    Brain Coral, Favites (Favites spp.)

Those were all taken off liveaquaria so if the names are wrong idk.

anyways they all say moderate light, will the t5 be too much for them? also a 40breeder is pretty shallow only 18 tall.

i would go with a 4-6 bulb fixture due to the width of the tank. I love my tek light. I would recommend it to anyone. 4-6 bulbs should not be to much for those corals.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The T5 should be just fine. Just make sure to start new corals like lps (the candy cane) lower in the tank so they can acclimate to the lighting. Unless you know for sure they came out of a system with better lighting and newer bulbs. It is always best to play it safe.

    Congradulations on the new lighting.;D
