40 Breeder Stock List

That's a swell stock list. Just make sure that you have enough filtration, that's a heavy stock.

 

Two filter socks, refugium and then a protein skimmer. Hopefully the filtration will be okay. I'll be adding over time so I should notice the tanks capacity before hell breaks loose.

 

Yeah, i think 1 fish and wait a few weeks and check! By all means, your original stock list may work, just thought i'd give ya heads up! heck i've seen some people keeping eels and lionfish with clowns on here! Well for the time being at least! you're on the right track though! go slow and see how your fish interact! Fun stuff!

 

IMO skip the chromis, also if you are keeping sps I wouldn't get a clown goby.
Your full stocking list is a lot of fish too, I don't know if a 40B is large enough.

 

Kudos to ya bud. Well planned stocking list and it sounds like you prepared for mandarin dragonette husbandry. ORA has videos of them being fed nutramar ova. I would feed the same. Many swear by it.

Also running a pellet reactor with a good skimmer will help the bio load. Along side with carbon in a reactor.

Here is the tank with the holes drilled in it and what I have built on the stand so far. I'll be moving out with my girlfriend February 29th so that is when I will set everything up and begin the cycle. I'm sure I'll create a build thread eventually.

 

I love the stand! Can't wait to get my FW 40gb.
