    Hi Daniel,

    My first thought is that there are too many fish for a forty gallon tank regardless of the sump size. I tend to be pretty conservative on the stocking issue. Removing the Cardinals removes two fish from the list and seem like a more manageable list.

    Two, Cardinals are great fish but tend to be more cryptic in my experience. They are not brightly color either.

    Lastly I just think the list is too big, but would make a busy attractive tank but one prone towards onset of disease and or aggression at some point.

    I agree and that's why i thought the cardinals would be a better fit than the angel. The bangais are going to equal the biomass of one dwarf angel, especially considering angels eat a LOT. I do think it's a lot of fish but with that being said, the cardinals are cryptic and that's why I think they are a better fit for the smaller tank.

    Thanks for the input guys. Figured that was pushing it. Only fish I am set on are the clowns because I have them and the watchman because my GF loves their face.
