40 breeder TANG/Lion/scorpion/angler tank?

If that is the big fat red one, yes.

 

Haha you will have no idea how hard it will be to track down a red, let alone a yellow. So plan is to get one Scorpion fish at a time, get it trained, and move on to the next fish. The red and yellow Lions for sure will be the last ones I will find.

I'm currently working on a plastic glove/arm protector out of 2 liter bottles so I can get my hand in the tank in case I need to.

 

I've never personally kept a hawkfish, but I've heard in scorp circles, they can be brutes.

 

I am thinking we are on the same page now. lol I think this tank will be a venomous predator tank. Just to keep it interesting and don't want to have things competing for food with my hand not far from the water surface. ;D

 

I would not use an arm protector you speak of. That will make you clumsy and will spoke the heck out of the fish. Clumsy + spooky spiky fish = ow.

Me and my husband are putting together a "Keep Yourself Safe" guide with tips on.... how to keep yourself safe... LOL. There's always a risk, of course. I've only ever done two things where I've said, "That wasn't smart!".

I think looking for any of the scorpions or lions is going to be a difficult task. haha I have only 3 LFS in a 45 minute radius. And 2 of them are hole in the walls.

 

I have found the BEST fish in hole in the walls! They seriously turn up in the weirdest places.

 

Seems like my hole in the walls here only stock what is in demand. Clownfish, yellow tangs, wrasses, etc. Maybe I will drop by to see if they would order some things for me. I wouldn't see why not, since I think I am possibly the only one providing them any business. lol

 

I smell a future scorp addict.

 

Heck yes you do! They've always been my favorite fish but hard to come by around here. By the end of this build, I will bleed scorpion venom. ;D
