    no actually it just hops around eating from the LR and glass, i believe its eating the copepods.

    i dont think your tank, being new, and not very big, will have near enough copepods to sustain a mandarin. it will die slowly. i would try to find a new home for him

    Dont forget to clean the pad in the skimmer bubble diffuser, it gets nasty. I took the holder off and let it pump into water. I found it works better w/o it. Just buy some copepods for your fuge and mandarin will be fine.

    well i do have a nice amount of copepods and i buy everyother week reefpods so i believe i do have enough food for my mandarin to feed on!

    wow thanks for the tip im going to try this when i arrive home, but wont it produce alot of bubbles, i mean its there for a reason isn't it?

    since you have sump, fuge, baffles, then pump. I think you would be fine. I just have mine in sump and pointed the hose towards the berlin sock and its fine, plus it helps keep debris from settling on bottom. I hated that cup cause it would get bumped and the hose would close up and fill the collection cup. Just sayin...
