    Is there anything that I would need to worry about with the hawkfish?
    I have a few hermits and a bunch of snails right now and my clowns/ cardinal are pretty small (1.5").

    Also, is it safe to assume that ornamental shrimp would be a bad add with the hawkfish?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Eventually your hawk fish could very well find shrimp tasty. So your assumption is correct.
