    managed to get the #'s to a more respectable level:

    ca: 620
    mg: 1650
    alk: 2.4

    been slowly adding dkH to lower ca, if the mg was lower i doubt it would be possible.

    dont know if you can see it or not but theres little splotches of algae on the rock. looking at the tank in person, i cant tell if theres water in it or not, lol.

    i have a 4 stage aquamedic reef doser for using the balling method thats being hooked up today to take care of those numbers.

    put a xm 20k in and the par is at 170 on the sand and 290 on the top piece of rock, softer look better on the eyes. the old bulb was 10k and 450 on the sand and 1000 on the top piece of rock. you needed sunglasses to look at the tank. heres a pic of both to compare.
