well I got the Hydor ATO all set up seems to be working good but I shut it down till I can be home and monitor it this weekend don't want to come home to a mess. I don't have a sump so its in my display and the only way to keep the level where I want it is to allow to overflow alarm to sit just above the rim where the glass top sits not sure if its a smart idea may have to go the safe but ugly route and let the water level sit just below the frame I will mess with fine tuning this weekend.....also removed the one live rock that had red slime on it and scrubbed it off reduced my lighting by 2 hours and tried to increase flow in that area hoping this solves it I understand its growing from extra nutrients I plan on doing a 10 gallon water change on Sunday

I have the current orbit led just running the stock setting was looking for a lighting schedule I could program even if you don't have these lights any input could help how much time for whites and blues and ramp up and down times...right now it start out blue

Also modded the emperor put little plugs on the spray bars they were causing ungodly amounts of micro bubbles since I removed the bio wheels this turned out perfect no micro bubbles to be seen! Had no idea how much work this hobby would be or the time it would take but when you sit back and see what you have created its well worth it

next project is making a screen top for the summer as you can see from my profile pic I build race cars so I actually feel like this will be the one thing I wont struggle with lol I plan on making the frame from aluminum that I can shrink in a tool to match the bow will hopefully have this done in the next week or so only question is what type of screen material is best?

wanted to ask people about feeding how many times a day and everyday? right now I feed once a day I don't want to start skipping feedings to help with nutrient levels what are your feeding schedules?

sorry for so many posts just trying to get as many opinions as I can im new and honestly searching the web sometimes confuses me more then helps haha so thanks for everyone who has helped these last few months its helped a bunch!

I'm afraid I don't have a lot of advice for some questions. I think many people really like using the BRS screen for a top on a tank. In terms of feeding, I like to feed 1-2 times a day. I usually feed once when lights go on and then about mid-way through the cycle. It really does depend somewhat on your livestock with some types of fish needing to eat more frequently (wrasses, anthias) than others. I'm sure others can chime in with advice on the LED schedule.

It really is an amazingly satisfying hobby - you are right, it is a lot of work but so worth it!! Once you get your tank dialed in - the intensity of maintenance hopefully can slow down at least a little bit.

well guys its been a while have been really busy with life everything has been going pretty good no major changes added a rock with some acans on it orangish and blue colors pretty cool looking still don't have a way to take good pictures. Having a hard time getting to goby to eat not really sure how he is still alive with the little I see him eat I've tried all types of food maybe he is eating the leftovers after feedings when I am not watching? still wanting to get some corals up top of my scape and looking some chalices to go in lower to medium areas any advice would be great! thanks will try and get some new pictures up this week
