A couple minutes ago i heard a strange splash, followed by my hawkfish darting around the tank. I thought it was slightly strange so i went to investigate. I couldn't find the wrasse anywhere so i started looking around the tank. He was laying behind the tank on the stand! I scooped him up and hes now in my fuge in the cheato basket gasping for breath, laying on his side. Is there anything i can do for it????

Well, hes off the bottom of the cheato basket, but his gill movement is still crazy and his color is really pale. My GF bought this fish for me so if it dies, i'm going to be in deep ****!

I think the hawkfish may be heading back to the LFS's adoption tank...

Well... The wrasse is still alive, kinda. Its in the display tank by itself. Its just laying up between two rocks. I had to remove everything from my tank to get that (dirty dirty word) hawkfish out of the tank. Never again. The hawkfish is going to the adoption tank at the fish store this afternoon.
What a pain the the hind end. [IMG]

Well i wish i woulda kept the neon dottyback out for a few more days... The wrasse is fully recovered, but is only being allowed to swim around behind the rock work. The dotty, which is about half the size of the wrasse, chases him back behind whenever he tries to venture out. He is getting braver however. Today he came and swam around during feeding time and got himself some shrimp. I'm hoping within a day or two they can learn to get along, or im going to have to get that dotty out of there for a few days. Why cant everyone just get along???!!!
