OK, so in a few months i should have my 46 up and running and ready for fish. I know for sure, that my green spotted puffer will be in the tank, as this is mainly for him. But i am wanting 1 or 2 other fish to put in the tank with him. He is a very aggressive fish *at least in his current 20 gallon, so he is all by himself* i think he would be better in a new tank.

I was originally thinking about putting 2 clowns in the tank with him, but then i thought about one mandarin goby but read that they are had keepers. So my main thing is what fish would stay small enough to easily fit in the 46 but at the same time hold it's own against the puffer? I'm only wanting to put 1 or 2 other fish in there with him. The tank will have 90 pounds of live rock, plus some corals.

OMG!!!! I want the melanarus wrasse!!!!!!!!!! they are georgeous! do you think one would stand up for itself if the puffer decides he wants to eat him, as puffers are known to only get more aggressive once they are larger

Sweetlips get big and in a hurry. Most will get close to or go over the 2' mark.
