I currently have a Cardinal Fish, YWG, Royal Gramma, and a Lawnmower Blenny in my reef tank. I wanted to add a few more small but colorful/fun fish to the tank. Any suggestions? I'd really like a B&W Clown, but my fish store hasn't had one in for quite a while.

What do you think is the max that I should add. I was wanting 2 or 3 more fish, but want to be sure that my load isn't too much.

I think 2 or 3 smallish fish would be fine. I do tend to go higher on the bioload in terms of suggestions. I love my flame hawkfish. I think you'd want some middle/front swimmers since you have a couple of bottom dwellers. If you get a clown, add last. I would suggest looking at wrasses - I never was much of a wrasse fan until I joined this site :) they are very active and colorful. You need to have a cover because they are jumpers (although in reality all fish can be jumpers). HTH

I agree on the flame hawkfish, as long as you don't have any small shrimp. love the way mine hops from rock to rock.

Thanks for the input! Can you keep a hawkfish with corals? Also, my gramma decided to suicide dive out of my tank over the weekend and the YWG is MIA as well. So, looks like we are down to a cardinalfish and a lawnmower blenny... o_O

yes, you can keep a hawkfish with corals. They are reef safe. Of course, you could always get a rogue one that enjoys corals but so far, mine only has interest in fish food :) Sorry to hear about the gramma :(

I would suggest a screen cover so no more go carpet surfing.
