Thanks for the compliments! Wish I could find more colorful corals to really get a reef look going, I guess patience is a virtue

OK time for a massive picture update. I attempted to use my wife's Nikon today with no such luck I really should have her teach me how to use that thing someday!! So point and shoot camera it is, I apologize for the poor photography. Also I took the pictures only an hour or so after the lights came on so not everything is fully out yet.

Since it has been a little over 6 months I figured I would do a before and after kind of thing. Enjoy!!

First coral was my Xenia colony I started back on 4-25-12.

Then came my FL Ricordia started with 2 on 5/30./12 and added 2 more on 8/22/12. Dont have real good pictures of them and they still havn't fully opened up for the day.

Jasmine Polyp on 6-25-12. In the last picture the mini colony on the left is the original frag that I moved a week ago and took off of the original spot to help spread growth

Also on 6-25 came the Acan colonies which did great for awhile before really declining. The one has made a nice comeback while the other seems to be dieing off. I did have them right next to each other so maybe one was stinging the other, moved them yesterday to see what happens.

After diving into softies, shrooms, and some lps I couldn't resist SPS anymore my ORA Montipora Confusa on 8-2-12 and then today. It started off looking nothing like the ORA site but has since started to morph into what I expected

After waiting awhile I decided to purchase my Wall Frogspawn on 8-11-12. Did great then started to die back, seemed to Coincide with dosing of reef buffer so I stopped using that product and it has come back with no more issues :)

And my most recent additions are an ORA Purple stylophora and a branching frogspawn of some unknown origin on 10-10-12

I think I can officially say its a reef!! Had some small issues here and there as I learn but for the most part everything has done well.

Then finally the Flame Angel who is the most frustrating fish I have ever tried to photograph!! There was a Tiger Goby but he only lasted a week for some reason. Poor pictures but you can see she is nice and chubby :)

Thanks!! Lots of time, money, and research but its paid off. I often sit in the living room with the TV on but find myself staring at the reef instead. Love to watch everything move and interact with each other and am always finding new little critters!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    That looks great.

Corals and fish are really doing nicely. You can see the growth in the Frogspawn and Xenia.
