I personally like how it turned out. I think you will be fine for now.

Thanks, when you say for now do you mean I will need to add more rockwork later?

Did my first waterchange today, about 15gallons worth to increase the SG a little and get rid of some of the nitrates that leached from the rock/sand. I know msot say not to do any WC while cycling but IMO it does not slow a cycle since the bacteria live everywhere but the watercolumn

I like it! I'm about to start my build on a 36gal bow. That looks like the rock I got from BRS!

Nice rock ;) Good luck with your build I am not doing a sump or fuge with mine since I wouldnt be able to hide it under the cabinet. That is going to have to wait until I purchase and setup a 72gal bowfront

This 46gallon is my first SW tank so it is going to be quite awhile before I progress to a 72gallon. Have to get my feet wet first!

Retested the water today and had the results confirms at a lfs. Glad to say my hydrometer had the same reading as their refractometer
    pH 7.8
    SG 1.024
    ammonia .5
    nitrite 3
    nitrate 5-10

Was tempted to add a clownfish and dose with Prime daily but decided against it and added a bottle of Dr Tims One and Only instead. It has only been a week since setup but I am hoping the cycle ends soon I cant wait to buy my first SW fish
