I need help. So I pulled a big NEWBIE move. I bought the light thinking it was gonna fit my tank and its two inches to wide. I have a 55gal standard width is 13. With the legs attached, the gap is about 5 in. With the light resting on top of the tank, its about 2 in. Any suggest what i can do to remedy this. I was looking at the suspension kit but I dont really want a bright light shining in the room.

    What can i do..

I ran across a utube vid of another reefer here on this forum (I want to say Brandonxxxx?) whose fixture was a bit to short for his bowfront. I think he used 1x1 wood blocks laid across the top of the tank width-wise to hold up the fixture. You could probably get away with something similar, only to make up for the width, not the length. Granted it might not be the most stable solution, you would probably have to figure out a way to secure the blocks on the lip of the tank somehow...

    Just a thought..
