Returned from visit to LFS this afternoon with a pair of beautiful Camelback shrimp (Rhynchocinetas durbanensis) - actually pretty good sized ones.

All this talk of shrimp on forum lately must have motivated me to get them. :-/

When dropping into tank, one landed in large toadstool which I thought might make a very good picture.

While doing so, I saw a flash of black and orange on other side of tank and the other shrimp disappearing into hole in rock, in mouth of SnowFlake eel....:-[

Really surprised me as this was quite a large shrimp and a not very big eel.

Would really be happy not to have this guy in tank.

Probably also reason I have not seen my peppermint shrimp for while. :-[

Ouch, that sucks! Kind of funny the way you told the story though, but not funny to see money gobbled up so haphazardly like that. Karma!

oi not fun. But I have heard Camel shrimp are coral eaters. So it might have been a good little snack

Does not look like we are going to have chance to find out...:-[

Expect other will not be around much longer.

(looks like I just bought some rather expensive eel food)

Funny, eel has never shown any interest in fire/blood shrimps or skunk cleaner...:-/
