Well I get the SPS bug badly and realise changes need to be made in my 5ft

GSP was running wild as was my Anthellia colony
My lighting on this until currently FOWLR was 4 x 40 watt T8s (2 x 10K Sylvania and 2 x Actinic (same brand)
purchased an addition twin T8 fixture and 2 more 10K tubes
so with a total of 6 x 40 watt lamps, figured Ill save myself a trip to the LFS with the GSP and Anthellia and just add both of these to to 60

right side several clumps of GSP under actinics only (GSP great under actinics)

left side clown fish hosting the Anthellia

    FTS tomorrow, lights off now
current fish stocks along with the clowns= 1 bananna wrasse, 1 flame back angel (who is free to browse) and 1 black triggerfish

my black trigger (2 inch specimen when purchased maybe 4 inches now, 5 months on) shares the tank with a flameback , pair of clowns who came from the 5ft as they hosted the Anthellia

cool fish, a bit shy for 2 weeks or so when 1st introduced, has not bothered with any corals at all, neither has the flame back - but he/she is just waiting for me to forget and add Zoanthids in here and then the fun would begin

Cool trigger, I just picked up a pink tail for my reef and so far he has been a model citizen. That is some crazy growth on your GSP, I haven't had the epic growth like most claim, but that anthelia and xenia grows out of control if I don't keep it in check.

    IllWill and Steve,
I was told NOT to keep triggers in a Reef tank, ie. Niger and Pinktail and Rectangular but I see you have them in your tanks. WTF???? I am planning on selling mine to buy some softies......can i keep them and with what kinds of corals.

corals are OK IME with the niger trigger, mine does not bother but in this tank I only have corals I wanted out of my other tank - so GSP , Anthellia and some Zoas
inverts would not fair so well as they are meals so no peppermint shrimps for example or the trigger eats better than you do that day.

My trigger doesn't bother anything thats not in the water column. I was cleaning out an overflow and noticed a stomatella was sliming around in there so i tossed it back in the tank . . . and the trigger came over and happily gobbled it down but it wont touch them while there crawling around the tank. I have a coral banded, cleaner and a few peppermint shrimp in with my pink tail and so far he hasn't messed with any of them.
