    Hi,

I'm thinking of starting a reef frag tank again and I was thinking of using 2 x (2x18W) t5 strips over a 20G L for total of 72W.

I see a T5HO only gives 6 more W than a T5. Is it worth the price to get 1 2x24 vs 4x18? The cost of a 2x18 is only $37 where as a 2x24W is the cost of both of them. I am thinking the depth shouldn't be a concern?

    Thanks in advance,

    Harvey

I would go with the 24" HO T5s. You have much better bulb choices

regular T5's can't even compare to HO in my opinion! And I am using the 24" Nova fixtures on my 20(ish) gallon frag tank, they work great, a little too great sometimes!
