Just wanted to run some ideas past you all and get some feedback on my plan thus far. I am going to turn an AGA tank I have on hand right now into a cool little mini office reef. I already have a 10G FW planted at my office and what better than to plop a tiny reef on the desk? I am using mostly equipment I already have on hand, honestly I wont be buying anything except for live rock, lighting and livestock.

Lighting: This is something I am mulling over I have essentially narrowed it down to 3 options. An Odyssea 24watt PC(its the cheapest so that is appealing), a Catalina 27watt PC(middle priced, better quality couple more watts), and a 36watt Current T5(most expensive, alot more powerful than the previous). I feel any of these 3 fixtures *could* work as I am limiting myself to simple corals.

Filtration/Circulation: Aquaclear 50 HOB(chemical filtration and the bulk of the circulation). I also have an Azoo 180 powerhead on hand which is smaller than a matchbook...its actually a pretty cool little powerhead.

I will put in a couple lbs of aragonite sand, and put in 8-10lbs of live rock. I could rob some chaeto from behind the wall of rock in the 55G reef and add to this tank to help with nutrients.

Livestock: Primarily ricordeas, I may add a zoa or paly here or there or green star polyp on the top of the rock but thats it for corals. A couple of snails and a couple of hermits will be it for the CUC. I will also add a small goby, if I can find them a pair/trio of Trimma cana would be awesome as they usually grow a bit less than an inch. Otherwise I may just go with the standard clown goby or something.

What are some opinions on my setup? I am looking for lighting suggestions mostly, which of the 3 fixtures would you go with for the mentioned corals?

The tank is 16"Lx8"Wx10"T, I suspect light to substrate would be maybe around 10-11" since Im only using a pretty shallow sand bed and the mounting legs wont raise the light much off the top.
