    Anyone know where I could buy a 5 gallon bucket with lid that is water tight.. similar to the IO salt buckets.

    Does Walmart carry something like this? I was at Lowes and they didnt have any with lids.. :-/

    Go to McDonalds or BK or any fast food joint and ask if they have an empty pickle bucket and a lid. Wash it out with vinegar and you're good to go.

    Ace hardware in my area sells them with lids but charge $10 ea.

    Do they give you a weird look when you order a bucket? haha

    Is it common that they have extras?

    I knew ace had them and I knew that they were like $10.. ripoff. that is my last resort.

    Anyone else know good containers to transport like 10 gallons of water in, in a car, that I could buy retail?

    home depot, 4 bucks gets you the bucket and a lid with a seal in it. What I used for my trips to get my water at the LFS and never spilled a drop. Now I use them to store water from my RO/DI and to store saltwater for my water changes.

    You could good go to your LFS and ask them..or Lowes/Homedepot. I see them range from 5 to 7 dollars.

    I ordered 3 food grade storage buckets from GFS. Buckets=$17 an lids =$3.50 expensive I know. But they have measurements on them both in gallons/liters.
