are there any good corals that would be ok to keep in a 5 gallon.

Try a clown Goby. They're really tiny and super cute.

Frankly, I wouldn't put any fish in a 5 gallon. Just because a clown goby is small doesn't mean he doesn't like to swim. I have seen them in 180s and they dance all over the place.

Coral wise you will want to stay with the hardier ones such as softies and maybe a few LPS..mainly because with only 5 gallons it will be difficult to keep your water quality stable/good..zoas and shrooms would be a good start..with fish i would just do a goby/shrimp pair or something..look around on here and you should find quite a few suggestions from older threads

I know but i just want something active in this tank because to me corals get sort of boring after a while.

Honestly I wouldn't put anything in such a tiny tank either, just for the reason you stated. But there are a lot of people on here who have put more in a smaller tank so I just suggested a clown goby because of its size.
If I didnt suggest it, some one else would have.

Devoted Lionfish- How long have you been doing SW? Are you devoted and disciplined enough for the responsibility of a nano tank?

True, people always recommend them, I actually did myself until I saw how active they were in a larger tank. Now I try to stand out against the crowd and recommend against it. :)

;DThat's sweet. I really don't like seeing fish in small tanks. Just because they can survive in it doesn't mean they're happy. I hate seeing even Betta fish in cups because, yes they can survive, but how boring of an existence would that be?
Id love to get a little clown Goby for my 55 gal. :p
