I picked up a 2 year old 29g biocube with the stand and extras for $100. the tank was used as a freshwater tank. I bought new lights, powerhead and aragonite.

Tuesday I filled the tank up, added dry rock and the sand. I got the ph, salinity and the temp just right.

Today I bought 2 clownfish, acclimated them, added a bottle of Dr. Tims one and only, then added the clownfish.

    Future stock list include
    midas blenny
    firefish
    purple firefish
    and a blood shrimp

Sounds like you got a great deal on the tank!
I only have one issue. I dont have much faith in the magic cycle chemicals. You should be cautious

I did a lot of research on Dr. Tim's one and only. No bad reviews at all, if you do the fish cycle with it. If you call Dr. Tim's aquatics, you can talk directly with him about it.

Here is a video that Mark from Mrsaltwatertanktv.com did about it.

I forgot, I also changed the fans to the updated version. The original ones are crappy.

Everyday, I will be posting my ammonia, nitates and nitrite levels. To share how Dr. Tim's product is working

    after 24hrs

    Nitrite is 0.25
    Nitrate is 5.0
    Ammonium is 1.0

Looking good so far. It may stay the same or go up for a few days, then everything should go all the way down. My clowns are still looking good. They are trying to get use to more flow in my tank vs. the tank they were in at my LFS.

I will post picts once I can get my stupid crack phone to send them to my email

Sweet! I'm cycling my 29g biocube right now with microbacter7. I hope to get a pair of clowns this weekend.

clowns are still doing good. eating and swimming around. I put my filter in the back because I think the bacteria has out spread by now.

Kinda questionable to me. Saltwater aquariums are not for the impatient. I hope everything works out but I personally prefer the old method.

You put the whole bottle in right? You don't 'dose' one and only you just our the bottle in. You can't OD.
