50 cent crab?

    i bought 2 crabs for 50 cents each jus to get my cycle going on my new tank. they are brown and black wavy striped about the size of a half dolar. any ideas what kind of crabs they are?

    Pics would help.
    Also, crabs will do little or nothing to kick start a cycle. add a single damsel or table shrimp

    yes i know ....i started with mollys aswell but i saw the crabs for 50 cents each and i figured hey why not. i plan on having a mantis shrimp so worst case they r food :/. my tank is cycled now all readings are at or near zero.

    pics will be up some time next week. im on a long vacation. the lfs had a tonnnn of these guys in a tank next to the feeder shrimps if that helps

    is it kinda fuzzy looking? maybe a gorilla crab?

    Sweet. I am really curious about these crabs. They cheapest live food I give my mantis are 75 cents hermit crabs. Not much more expensive but they are tiny.
