Thanks Matt. Yea it was concerning because its on beefy carpet also so since filling the tank yesterday I've checked for any settlement and it seems to be staying true.

So i've finally got the tank filled up with water and the salt has already mixed. Salinity and temperature are good. Im going to add the sand today.

I was curious though, with my old tank at my parents still setup, can I just take a few of the LR's and put them in the newly setup tank and start transferring all of the livestock over? Am I going to have a cycle? I need to get the tank at my parents broken down and livestock transferred asap.

Does your new tank have sand? You may want to take a cup of your other setup's sand and seed yours. Add the live rock and then test.....I'm thinking you may still have a mini cycle so I would hold off on adding the livestock until testing shows it's ok.

I will add a few cups of my live sand from the old tank. I've got some rocks covered with palythoas and mushrooms and I'm definitly going to add those, but not all of the rock. There's only a few pieces Im going to add since I've got my new aquascape with new base rock. It should be okay to add the live rock's with corals attached correct? I want to add the mushrooms/palythoa's/RBTA's/frogspawn/mini maxi anenome/and ricordea's.

I basically need to add them all at once cause I will need to grab my LED lighting system also.

The problem is, the only pieces of rock that I'm going to add are covered in mushrooms. I'd like to add these few pieces of rock to get the bacteria colonizing but how will the mushrooms and ricordea's fair in a brand new tank with brand new mixed saltwater?

I am not an expert at all in the coral department about adding the shrooms to a brand new tank......You don't have any rock that does have corals? Here's a bump to your thread for your question.

The tank is full of baserock, however the rock I am going to add is from an existing tank covered in corals.

My gut feeling on this is that your tank should cycle before you add a lot of corals even the more hardier type. I may take a piece of your live rock (perhaps without corals or a minimum number) to seed the tank and maybe look at adding microbacter7 (sorry I always tout this product but it is awesome) to help move the cycle along. Just my .02 and as said before, I think the coral experts can help you better on this question.
