I'd like people's comments on my stocking plan.

    55 gal DT,
    40 gal Sump/Fuge
    100lbs LR
    Octo-XP-2000 Skimmer
    Auto-Dose Ca/Alk/Mg
    ATO
    GFO/GAC Reactors
3" Sand in DT, 4" in Fuge

All Water params are good, tank is 3 months old.
Currently have 2 Blue damsels that I am removing before stocking.

Planning on mostly corals, starting with ricordea and zoas.

Now to the question. I am thinking of the following stocking list and would like some opinions.

    McCosker's Flasher Wrasse

I would be interested in your thoughts or options you think I should consider.

    Thanks,
    Mark

the wrasse (most of them really) are jumpers. So make sure you are protected in some way. They are worth the extra effort.

i think the foxface will outgrow the tank. They need space, not just water volume (i.e. for a foxface, I just look at DT and dont count the sump volume).

It's a nice list though and I don't see any glaring incompatibility there.

Clownfish are a great addition. My pair are so entertaining because they're very curious and I just get a kick out of how they waddle around haha. Haven't had any experience with the others but my local LFS always has a Foxface, the look interesting but very skittish.

I would recommend a lawnmower / algae Blenny. They do a great job on keeping the glass maintained and are pretty easy to take care of and usually are not aggressive toward any other fish. Mine looks like he leaves kiss marks all over the walls, kinda cute.

If you can find one, long nose hawk fish have great personalities and are quite friendly. From what I've read they don't typically nip at coral, but mine did eat a very small feather duster once.

Sounds like you have a great setup so I'm sure whatever you put in there will thrive quite well. Good luck!

yes if you do get clowns make sure you get a pair. also foxface is to big for your tank. i like the idea of the flasher wrasse though. there really cool i had a sixline wrasse in my tank for a while until it jumped so make sure you have a cover. i good site to browse for fish is liveaquaria.com they have a ton of cool fish with data on them.

I see that you keep going back and forth on the one-spot foxface too. They do seem to be wonderful fish, but FWIW, I think you made the right call on holding back...little too large for tanks our size.
