So i had decided to upgrade from a 30 gallon biocube to a 55 gallon long. Tank was in the beginning of February and I had to move everything from one tank to the other ASAP. Tank has been doing very well, and I am pleased with everything so far.
    Tank specs:
    75 lbs LR
40lbs aragonite non-live sand (plus a cup of LS from 29g)
    Koralia 1, 3 and 4
    Nova Extreme 48'' T5: 3 actinics, 3 10000k daylights
    Rena SmartHeater
    Fluval 305 canister filter
    Flow Rate: 2700 GPH

    Parameters:
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite: 0
    Nitrate: 10ppm
    pH:7.8-8.1
    Temperature: 78 C
    Calcium: 480

Tank is overly stocked, but is maintained with weekly WC and thorough cleaning.

    Tank Stocklist:
    1 kole tang
    1 blonde naso tang
    1 bristletooth tang
    1 maroon clownfish
    1 banggai cardinal
    2 truncate anthias
    1 flasher wrasse
1 watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp
    1 cleaner shrimp
*** HUGE bioload i know, but when fish become too large i will remove them --- dont worry
    Coral stocklist:
    - GSP
    - lots of colonies of yellow sand polyps
    - candy cane frags
    - mushrooms
    - zoos
    - devil hand leather
    - toadstool leather
    - hammer
    - frogspawn
    - open brain
    - aleopora (doing very poorly however)
    - frag of suncoral

Here are some pics. Hope you enjoy and give me some feedback please!

I do have a sump/refugium or protein skimmer. I am looking into getting a protein skimmer within the next month, but am so unsure of what i need and what is best. I am jsut browsing and talking at the LFS and seeing if i can get one online. I dont want to buy one that is not good. I am not using a sump/refugium as i have no room in bedroom for it. I am a student living in a student house so i only have my limited size bedroom.
