    DO IT!
    great deal,
LR alone covers the price, assuming the pieces are what you would be looking for.
Tanks, IMO shouldn't really depreciate that much unless they are in bad shape.
A metal stand for a 55g is atleast 50 bucks (I use a dresser for mine).
Power Heads are also an awesome throw in, as long as they are energy effecient: GO GREEN OR GET OUT OF THIS HOBBY--- unless you are rich

sounds sweet deal, my 55 cost me alot more than that to start up and i did even purchase the tank or stand.

Not bad. The lighting is second rate. It will get you started though. You would want to know the age of the bulbs. If they are over six months old, they need to be replaced. UVL and Giessemann are the best that I know of.

The tank and stand are worth $250 new, so if it is good shape then it sounds good just for that. The LR is a good deal. The best deal I have ever found for LR is $4/lb. Retail is $9/lb where I live.

The skimmer may be junk, but it would at least get you started. I lived with a Jebo 182 on my 75g for four months before I upgraded to something I was willing to admit I had.

If he is getting rid of Koralia's you have hit the jackpot. Otherwise, you are probably getting PHs that only put out a 100 or 200GPH. That is something you will have to think about and fix right off. I would be interested if the PH for the return is included. If not, you can get a Rio for about $30 to handle that (Rio's are not bottom of the barrel, but they are not exactly top notch---I still use them though). Powerheads are best purchased off eBay. Lots of good deals there.

Overall, it sounds pretty good. I would seriously consider it. I tried to look at the ad, but the pics were not available. Bummer. There, it said 45lbs of LR.

Just know that you are probably going to dump another $200 to $300 getting started (Salt, test kits, this, that, the other thing). My 75g starter was $400 off CL and I think I dumped $1000 or so the first two months getting it in line (LR, this, that, the other thing).
And as you progress through this wonderful hobby of ours, money will flow from your pocket book for what seems like forever until you get it how YOU want it. So fair warning....not to be a doomsdayer...sayer, whatever it's called, it's just a fact of life. But it is a lot of fun. Yes it is. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat.
