If you have voltage between the tank and earth ground something in the tank is shorting to water. Try unplugging everything and doing it one piece at a time plugged directly into the wall.

I'm not sure I will be able to do that. I could use an extension cord though.
I unplugged everything one by one and nothing dropped the voltage by more than 2-4 volts. However, turning off one strip dropped it to 29 volts. Turning off the other (with the first on) dropped it to 25 volts.

Lost a peppermint shrimp today. Tank temp got to 85 today. I have two 5" AC fans in the mail which I install in my canopy. They'll move 220 cubic feet of air per minute combined. Beasts.

I'm a little concerned with my Anthias. I bought him last Wednesday and I haven't seen him eat and he rarely comes out. He just sits on the sand in a hole. He'll swim around a bit when the actinic are on, but that is just to swim to the top or other end of the tank to hide in the rocks. He never comes out to the front.

I thought anthias were highly active social butterflys?

So how should I install my two 4.5" computer fans? Should I do one on each end pointing in? Should I do two on one end pointing in? The back is completely open BTW.

Well I am sure you will get plenty of opinions but here is a thought. I had a tank that had canopy with open back. I made square frames out of wood( top, bottom are open so no air restriction ) that the fan fit snugly into. I then mounted the boxes on the wall behind the tank canopy so it blew cool air into it so everything was circulated. You would have to make sure that when you put up the canopy that the boxes would not get in the way. The nice thing is I mounted them so wen you looked at tank you would not see them at all. My canopy was acrylic so I really did not want to cut into it.

If you want pictures of box and fan let me know

Edit.. fixed description.. pics are better

here are a couple pics. Recently took down tank so no longer mounted on wall

front view no fan. The solid board in back is where you screw into wall

so top and bottom are open for air flow and you could also do that on sides.

here is pic of tank and fans were mounted on wall in back blowing into the canopy.. Notice you cannot even see them.
