Looks good. I went ahead and installed 2 4-inch fans on each side of my canopy. My tank now settles in a temperature range of 75-80 morning to night.

Tank is doing well. No deaths of coral or anything. Skimmer had a gasket issue leading to a bacterial bloom a couple weeks back, but it is gone.

Tank then had a hair slgse issue and still does to a degree. It's just going tgrough that typical algae cycle for a new tank.

Some SPS are coloring up, others still pale or brown

Not much growth, but some. Took the calc reactor offline until it picks back up.
I am manually dosing in the meantime as I'm only consuming 17 ppm of alkalynity daily. It works out to 3/4 teaspoon of soda ash daily.

^^^ That is cool.. what no worthy of a pic ha ha. As long as it is functional.
FYI you probably thought of this but remember your evaporation rate is going to increase.

    Do you have a controller?
Reason I ask is once I installed my controller and set my fan to go on at 78.5 and off at 78.2 I have reduced the evaporation rate.

Anthias are difficult fish, IMO to keep. They require frequent feedings and don't do well when transported or moved. My guess is the voltage and swings in temp are stressing him. If he's not eating, there isn't much hope for him.

Ask and you shall recieve. Yep, I anticipated a higher evap. Rate. I had a larger fan over my 20 which emptied my resevior quickly.

    I don't have a controller anymore, unfortunately.

Thanks, Chris. My one concern is the exposed wood from where I cut the hole. I need to seal it.

So I think I may add a clam this week or next. I'm looking at getting a deresa. I've read that they are the hardiest of the group, which would do me well since ive never cared for one. Plus, I prefer to have my clam in the sand, which I know deresa prefer.

    Thoughts?

Tank is looking very nice. I have two Dersa clams. I like their looks, but they grow fast and big so I may need to get rid of them. I am not a clam expert but I may try something slower growing next.
