Yep, I've experienced the same, hit or miss. I'm hoping for a hit!

John is great. I've ordered from him 3 times.

Yeah, I like A. prostrata. I had a bright red one growing rapidly before the sheet rock/pH issue.

I don't want to get arrested or cited, if you catch my drift.

I bought a Reef Keeper lite Plus today for $269. It's brand new. I found buyers for my former rapid Led, tatronic and 20 gallon tank. As such, this Reef Keeper won't cost me a thing. Well, I guess it is to a degree, as I'm taking some losses from 1-3 years ago, but at this point, it's no money out of my pocket.

This unit will allow me to control halides and actinics, fans, heater, calc reactor (don't want pH getting too low) etc. It has the head unit, 2 power strips, temp probe, pH probe and the 2nd module for the pH plug.

Down the road I may add a couple float valves, one as a secondary support for the ATO getting stuck on and one for an emergency overflow and or back siphon.

I'm trying to minimize any potential pH, salinity or heat issues that can effect growth.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the Reef Keeper came with a faulty PC4 an temp probe. Digital Aquatics are replacing them, however.

    Update:

One of my LFS got in two deresa clams this week and both ended up dying before I made it in. We'll try again next week.

My T-5 ballast seems to have kicked the bucket. My actinics don't turn on and all connections are fine. Odd.

So I'm struggling to keep up my nutrients, I'm afraid. My phosphates have slowly started falling and are noe reading "0" on my ULR colorimeter.

I feed very heavily, which includes a cube of mydis and 2-3 small pinches of Cobalt flake daily. I dose oyster feast every 2-3 days too.

    I have:

    Cough*yellow tang*cough
    Lyretail anthias
    Percula clown
    Blue damsel
    6-line wrasse
    Yellow watchman goby

I'm not sure adding more fish is wise, but might be necessary, but what?

I group of bar gobies would be cool, but my canopy is open in the back and they jump.
