    Love the birdnest Kevin.

What is the green acropora under the Valida image? And what is the encrusting under the unknown image #3?

The green acropora is an Acropora aculeus. It is that green color even during the day. It's a tabling species.

The encrusting coral is the reverse superman monti that is growing on an old acropora skeleton.

    Good news:

I just tested my calcium for the first time in too long (apparently). Twice my test revealed a concentration of 290 ppm.

It may be time to hook the calcium reactor back up. I have been putting it off and waiting for the coral to begin growing after the move. I wasn't even hand dosing as it wasn't being consumed during my last test. I suppose I should have tested when I noticed my all dropping, which I correcting with soda ash in the ATO.

I may try and get by with dosing calcium chloride for a week or two before setting up the reactor.

I'm sure you're askingvwhy that is good news. It's good news because it means I have happy growing coral.
