    Thought I would post some pics of my 55 gal tank progression.... I was looking around on the pc tonite and found the first few pics, hehe kinda trips me out how white the rock was back then. Got a lil cyano right now, but it was my own fault from overfeeding the brain and elegance and was trying to nurse both a sick galaxia and candy cane back to health so I over did it a lil.. but its been dying off since I cut back on lights and food for a few days.

    This one is the BEFORE (Late FEB).....

    Unfortunately I cant get very good close ups cept couple times per year when my buddy comes down to visit from Chicago, he has a killer camera setup.

    Just thought I would share, I know hows everyone here loves pics!! Including Me.

    Thed torch in that pic is about half the size when fully extended, abou three in the afternoon it is at least double whats in that pic. it and my open brain are my favs -

    My elegance though isnt opening up for me like ive seen others. Still trying to figure out why, I thought it was flow so I added another head and bounced it off that end of the tank but it hasnt helped much.

    Nice set up

    Post a closer up image of the elegance - one thing I have learned is that mine does not expand as well if it makes contact with surrounding rock or even the sand bed
    when mine was placed on a flat rock above the sand bed so ir can expand without making contact it expanded much better
