Lately I've been dealing with some blue green cyano bacteria. I get a good amount of bubbles on my back wall and on my power heads. Something's change in my water quality and I am trying to do diligence to get back to a consistent basis. I do water test every Thursday once done, I will post my results.

Recently I purchased a dual media reactor from spectrapure, my pump I had is too small tho. Once up and running I hope this will help. I've dealt with cyano before (maybe 1 1/2 yrs ago). With time and consistency I will work through this.

Mini maxi anemone. I've owned for quite some time. Somewhere on this thread I have a pic of when I first bought it.

Sorry to bump my own quote, but I was wonder if I could get some advice, or possibly some sort of direction.

Might want to PM Exactlyobp. I remember him fighting through cyano with a Prodibio supplement. Not sure how that turned out for him over time.

EDIT: I'm having success fighting cyano in the DT with a horizontal ATS. However, my bio load is down, so that is also playing a part in it. Vinnyboombatz is also using the ATS with success.

Is it mostly on the sand? The ones i had were brighter green kind and only showed up on the sand where had less flow, seemed like. I looked into the Prodibio BioDigest initially to get rid of the GHA patches i had.

Started to dose one ampoule every 15 days last Sep. Ive been keeping the same routine and am more than happy with the result. Cyano gone, dinos gone within weeks! (still couldnt shake the GHA patches completely tho lol)

It might not be your case, but Prodibio seem to keep good reputation over all.

It's just about everywhere. It's tough finding the origin of why it's occur and what's off balance. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361402805.474156.jpg

Yep. I have mine at 10 right now, but was up near 12 at one point (intentionally).
