Dang that is beautiful, something to aspire to.

What is your bulb combo and type?

How do you keep that acropora so white?

Are you running bio-pellets? An ULNS?

My bulbs are ATI, I can't recall the combo though (will have to get back to you in that).

As far as the acropora, it's more of a light green in person. I really don't do anything special other than I knew it need a lot of light, so I put it up as high as I could to the top of the tank.

I don't run bio pellets, and I'm not sure what a ULNS is. Can you give me some insight on that?

Hope that answers a few of your questions.

When a system run as ultra low nutrients (ULNS), you will see these pastel colors to the corals.
It is hard to maintain the light pale coloration in aquariums, yellows and creams are especially hard colors to maintain but very common colors to see in zeovite or ULNS.

I have used prodibio as well and whilst I made a few other changes to my tank when I had algae outbreaks, I feel it was one of the contributors to its success.

    Do you run GFO?

Just started running GFO about a month ago, I am starting to notice a slight change for the better by running it. The reactor I purchased was from spectrapure. I really like it.

Wow. I did not know that. Time to do some research. Haha. I always thought that 'pastel' colors were from the type of lighting.

I was quite intrigued by reading up on ULNS. Pretty cool.

I isolated my Duncan's due to a little battle with a Pavona, it's doing better than ever. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365023571.683139.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365023613.910632.jpg

Yeah that's real weird, I kind of doubt it was the silicone. I used the bathroom mildew resistant stuff for years without issues. Once it's dried it doesn't leach anything.

    Wow my first post.

This is way behind me. I was new and didn't have any clue what I was doing.
