I decided to tape a few pictures of clown fish in an anemone to the sides of my tank. I am trying to prepare them to host my new sebae or (in the near future) a rbta. I have heard of this technique before, with some success, so I figured why not...lets give it a try.

I have never tried it, but I have heard that it works many times. Makes sense to a certain degree. Clownfish sure understand the meaning of you walking to the tank and opening the lid to feed, seems like they would catch on easily if given the right cue.

Are these captive breed or wild clowns?

They are tank raised. Does that matter?

There is a school of thought that captive breed clowns are less inclined to naturally reside with anemones or corals. I myself am not convinced of this, but I have heard good things regarding the picture placement.

I myself am not convinced as well. Clowns natural habitat resides within an anemone. Regardless of that fish being born in a tank or the ocean.
