55 Halide Wattage

    My question is to those who have a 55 gallon,and use halides watt wattage do you have over your 55?

    I have 300watt 14k + Moohlight led's
    Dimensions=L40"D23"W16"

    Water depth is only 19"

    OK, so thats a "tall" tank, not standard dimensions. I would use at least a 250 with supplemental if it were me.

    oh hot dog!! with a depth of 19" you could even get away with T5's!!

    but yes, i accidentally voted for 300W but 250W will do fine!

    Well, if it were a standard 55, you would need at least 2 150w bulbs, so I think a 250w fixture would be good.
