If you decide to get a clean up crew, get it from reefcleaners.org for the price of like 20 snails and crabs at tropiquatics I got 5 mangroves, 100 dwarf ceriths, 7 nassarius, 12 nerites big and small and probably other stuff i cant remember but is in there somewhere, he usually has some coupon code, you can find john maloney in the sponsors forum under reefcleaners and ask him if you decide to order. Also, if you want to order at some time, let me know and I'll get some stuff too and we can save on shipping.

yeah i just went down to aquarium adventure and got the hermits for 99cents and the 5 snails for a dollar a piece. I will most likely need some more so I will keep you posted on when I order some. On the 15th I will probably order some fish maybe depending on what my tank is like. I am interested to see how the damsel does with neighbors other than inverts...

So I found this tentacle thing sticking out of and feeling around one of my live rocks when I moved it today... I believe its attached to this head thing that has a feather duster type thing on it. I am fairly certain its a spaghetti worm. At any rate my wife is still making fun of me because of my blood curdling scream I let out because I must have thought it was gonna kill me or something. At any rate I am trying to think of whats next for my tank... Any suggestions? I have Turbo Snails, some Hermits, and a orange finned blue damsel.

    Thanks!!!

    Huge update

Well since my last update was at the beginning of January it has been awhile and a lot has happened. Here are some pictures:

if you look real close you can see my Lawn Mower Blenny:

All told I have 3 Chromis, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 1 Lawn Mower Blenny, 1 Long Tentacle Anemone, 1 peppermint shrimp, an assortment of hermit crabs, a mushroom growing on my LR and a grouping of what looks like Green Polyp Duncan Corals.

Right now my light consists of a Aquatic Life Dual Bulb T5 with a 10K Day bulb and a Blue Actinic Bulb as well as a 18k Power-Glo T8 Bulb for some extra light. I am looking at getting the big Aquatic-Life lighting fixture that has the halo lights as well as the T5's and the moonlight LEDs, but I don't have an extra $800 lying around and buying some clowns so my wife can name them Nemo respectively only buys me so much fiscal flexibility.

On a side note the Orange-Finned Blue Damsel was donated to a Fish Store near me for one of their display tanks. When I started floating the clowns he started attacking the bag...so I knew that I needed to take him out. Anyway the store took him in with open arms and he is now in their huge 1500 gallon display tank.

On a secondary side note... the second Peppermint Shrimp died last night. Not really sure why, but I did just add some more hermits. I tested my Params this morning and Nitrite looked like it was up to .25 which is frustrating because I just did a water change on Sunday. However, I did accidentally over feed yesterday due to Feline interference. I am going to keep testing my params to make sure things settle down. I am getting some calerpa for my fuge to add with my chaeto. Any Ideas?

Well after doing some reading and looking at his size, he may have died from old age or the water change could have pitched the salinity a bit. At any rate, I am now deciding on whether i should get a coral banded shrimp...

Coral bandeds are awesome, I've had mine for over a year and its beautiful. I tried to get a peppermint shrimp for some small hard to reach aiptasia but as soon as I put it in my purple psuedochromis ate it?!?!! That sucked. As for the cualerpa, I would skip out on the cualerpa, it can go asexual and become invasive and is no better than the chaeto which is plenty. I say just come and get those mangroves from me today and throw them in the fuge. No worries about them takin over your DT or any other issues. Tank looks good otherwise, I personally would not put an anemone in such a new tank but I hope it does good for you, nice however. I had to look for the Lawnmower blenny lol, found it though, cool! Great looking clowns as well!
