Hey I'm Finally at the point that my salt water tank dream will come true. So i graduated from nursing school and decided to move to the city to be closer to my job. well my father lives alone in a 4 bedroom house and says i could live there and for better news states i can have my salt water tank. i built the stand for a 55 g tank with the ideal that I'm doing a sump underneath. i drew my plans using Google app for free if i can ill upload the screen shot. after i built my stand i moved it into my dads basement to discover that there are no outlets in the basement(longer version below) long story shot i decided to rewire the basement but to upgrade it so its like a man cave and make it a place to be. so a simple move and set up seems to be taking forever. so it may take some time for me to update but i promise i will. is there anyone else that had hurdles with every step of building a salt water tank.

so the tank bare bones of it is 53 inches long 27 inches wide 33 inches high on the base i made a section as you can see in picture 3 that can help support the sump. I'm going to polyurethane it some time this week and add a shell i hope soon :)

    Extended story - the basement

old layout - 2 rooms (2 closets) 4 lights (1 in main room; 1 in small room 2 in closets with in small room) smells horrable and cat litter box dusty and dirty it was not a pleasant basement to be in very long.

New layout - 2 rooms (1 closet) 7 lights (4 in main room; 2 in small room 1 in closet) I'm taking down the other closet so it a straight wall were i can hold tools or what not. and since my goal is to make the room a chill room all the lights in the main can be turned off with a switch. i will add pics as i go so it helps with the picture I'm trying to draw. my father wanted me to run extension cords to power my tank but in my opinion that would only cause issues or a risk of fire and there was no light to see anything. so off to lowes i went and well ill upload pics soon. thanks for reading

the clean up as of 5/30
swept the floor filled two garbage bags worth of crap
    I've bleach the floor
bought a 65 liter dehumidifier which as of last reading is down to 69(11am) it was 83 at 6 am
