lol I have a few hermits in my 29g along with a few turbos and some cleaner shrimp. Wrasses look pretty sweet. :) I wanted a hooded fairy warsse, but that's out of my budget as a 16 yr old. haha

Are there any wrasses that get larger than 3" ? ...Scratch that, I've already found a few...

Leopard wrasses look pretty neat, I want some more color though. Haha they also need expert care..

I also think a wrasse is an awesome fish and would work well. Some are easier to keep than others. A 6-line for example is fairly easy and an awesome fish.

Some conchs will bulldoze frags up on the rock. The fighting conch variety stays in the substrate though.

Haha, pretty, easy to care for, and inexpensive! What more could I ask for? lol. What about 4 line wrasses? I heard they are supposed to be less agressive.

The ones I'm looking at are also recommended my F&S to be the best reef wrasses. :)

    line, fairy, and flasher wrasses.

i've kept 4 and 6 line. their behavior was identical as far as i could tell.

I had the 6 line over a year and the 4 line just several months. both died mysteriously. both were fed to the coral

I didn't know people have had problems with hermits .
I've always had quite a few blue legs in my tank and have never had a problem. I have always kept quite a few extra shells laying on the sand bed for them to find though. Never seen them mess with my snails, corals, or anything else...

That's because you're doing what you should and are providing shells for them. :) I had problems at first, but that as before I relaized they outgrow their shells. My 1.5" dwarf hermit recently disappeared. I'm saddened..he was a monster.

Hmm. That's strange. (Water parameters? parasite, maybe brought in by the wrasse?):-/

I wasn't sure on temperament. Thanks.

Maybe an angler? I am interested in the Red/Orange Angler, specifically They are really interesting, only require a 20g, and are semi-aggressive. I'll just need feeder shrimp so my cleaner shrimp don't get eaten. ;)
