I just found babies! From the red wag platy pair I originally got? Not sure, but the 2 I have seen are darned cute. I am warming up a 30gal that houses my 2 Ghost shrimp, 1 is preggo. Once it's warm, I will move most of the Riccia to that tank, hopefully with all the fry too! I have 2 others that are red wags, deep red and good black on tail and fins, but those guys were hiding..

I have 2 platy fry that are doing really well. They are in a 30gal with a heater at 80, 2 ghost shrimp and some plants that didn't make the salt treatment so they are recovering in there too. They swim around together down to the bottom and all around, very cute! YouTube - DSCN1647
That's one of them, the more gold colored. I will have a vid of both later on.
Right now I am having issues with my light hood, it's broken. So I need to buy another...

I think 12 hours is fine for a light up period

those fry sound a bit big for the Gourami to eat IMO although if you can keep them seperate no reason to take any risk

Yea, I was able to make a 10.7.5in or so screened box for them to be in. I was using a large catching net before, but it kept slipping. I'm waiting for them to be at least 2CM or so before I let them go free. I'll also have more plants planted by then too.
